Office Worker Syndrome

The Upper Crossed Syndrome is a condition that often mimics the Office Worker Syndrome. It presents as slumped, rounded and forward positioned shoulders, bending forward at the low back and extending the head to focus on the computer screen. It often results in aching and sore low back, neck and mid-back pain. One way to combat this is to perform the opposite moves:
  • Extend your low back to stretch the abdominal muscles and move the low back musculature
  • Spread your arms out to the sides and try to make your shoulder blades touch in back
  • Perform chin retractions, keeping your neck still, bring your chin to the chest bone 10 times.
